Browse and discover Substacks that were submitted to Hacker News.

I made an HN clone that lists only Substacks posted here. - Why? Over the years, I've discovered some great blogs here, so I thought it would be nice to have a filter for them. - Why only Substacks then and not blogs more generally? Because it's easy to query for "substack.com" in the public HN Algolia API (see below). Plus, hnblogs was already taken :) - What about substacks on custom domains then? At the bottom of the page there is a form to submit a custom domain. The site attempts to auto-validate that it is a Substack. If that fails, it is marked for manual review (which I'll do every once in a while). Approved ones will be included in the results. - How? I use HN's Algolia API to fetch substack stories by searching for "substack.com" in the url. I do this via a CloudFlare worker that has 3 separate cron triggers: (1) fetches new stories every 10 minutes and saves them in a KV store. (2) runs 2 minutes after the first, computes hot stories from new ones by simulating HN's scor

Browse and share links organized by tags, ranked by community engagement.

Hey HN, the maker here. I built Prijm.com because I wanted something like a cross between Reddit and the simplicity of Hacker News, where you can follow tags like #OpenAI or #AI [1] the way you'd follow a subreddit, but ranking is based on favorites/comments rather than a hidden algorithm Right now it has a very small user base and a few posts, so it's small and early. One thing I'm actually proud of is the threaded, markdown commenting system. I put a lot of work into it. Unfortunetly, there is

You don't need LLMs for everything "Just ask (insert any LLM)" is crazy to me. I'm sure you've also seen it, if you go around the saas/entrepreneur subreddit space the most obvious tell is how EVERY homepage looks. Recently the trend has been terminal green with slight glowing elements, and slowly revealing features as you scroll down. This is a bigger issue than the scope of this post, but I will still plant the thought in your head: if everything comes from the same source (even more so if

Community for sharing and discovering human-made artwork and photography.

I built ChillArt, a community focused on human-made art, looking for feedback I've been working on a side project called ChillArt: a community for artists to share human-made artwork, discover other creators, participate in discussions, and build personal galleries.I started it because I wanted a place that focused on artwork created by people rather than AI-generated content. The platform is still small, but artists have already started sharing their work and connecting with each other. So

Multi-destination YouTube notifications with filters and AI summaries. Email, Telegram, Discord, Slack, SMS, WhatsApp.

You just found it! YouTube’s “bell” notifications are awful, so I created an app to get notifications (with an AI summary) for new uploads from my favorite creators. It works with email, WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram, Slack or SMS.
