I built a total compensation tracker because spreadsheets kept lying to me about my RSU income Currently in big tech and it was always a toss up figuring out what my comp was whenever the market made big moves. I'd forget about vesting cliffs, miscalculate the tax hit on RSUs, or completely ignore how a sign-on bonus amortizes over 4 years when comparing offers. Got curious what a pointless meeting actually costs me, ended up building wage calculator www.wagescalc.com I was sitting in a meeting that should have been an email and wondered what that hour was literally costing me in wages. Turns out about $29. Then I wanted to know the per-minute number. Then per second. So it's a salary-to-hourly converter.
