I've been a user of Speechify and other text-to-speech apps for quite a while and I've grown tired of paying for them each month. So I built my own that works about as good as the other options. I use it daily to read articles in the background while I work or turn my ePub into an audiobook so I can listen while I drive. It's completely free and always will be.
