Building a resume-tailoring micro-SaaS taught me that more features can weaken the product I’m the founder of ApplyBoost, a small SaaS for tailoring resumes to individual job descriptions. While building it, I made the classic mistake of thinking that every related feature would increase the product’s value. I added: AI resume tailoring ATS scanning Keyword matching Bullet rewriting Resume templates Application tracking Follow-up guidance Interview preparation Techni

Built an AI job matching tool + Chrome autofill extension — the "boring" bug that taught me the most this month I built Riseply after my own job search made me want to throw my laptop out a window. Two pieces: AI matching that scores job postings against your resume so you're not scrolling through everything, and a Chrome extension that autofills the actual application forms so you're not retyping the same info on every ATS. Free to start, solo founder, still actively building. Tech stack:

AI tool that tailors resumes to job descriptions, generates cover letters, and tracks job applications.

I got tired of ATS résumé checkers paywalling after a few scans, so I built a free one (no signup) Every "free" ATS resume checker I tried capped me after a handful of scans, then wanted $30-50/mo. When you're applying to dozens of jobs, that's exactly when you need to check the most. So I built one that's actually free and needs no login: https://careerdiary.io/ats-resume-checker Paste your resume (and optionally a job description) and it scores it, shows the keyword gaps against that sp

Laid off after 25 years in consulting, so I built the job-search tool I wished existed I got caught in the tech layoffs after 25 years in client-facing consulting, and the job hunt itself turned out to be the worst-designed workflow I'd ever seen. Jobs scattered across a dozen boards, every posting wanting a different resume - AI responses that sounded horrible, the whole thing living in a spreadsheet. So, I built Jobfyt while searching to help me find jobs and organize things.

Build ATS-optimized resumes and find matching jobs using AI.

I built an AI career platform because job seekers are using 5 different tools to do one thing: get hired I've been working on a SaaS called CareerMatchs , and I'm finally at the point where I want feedback from people outside my own circle. The idea came from looking at how fragmented the job-search process has become. You use one tool to build your resume. Another to optimize it. Another to search for jobs. Then YouTube/Google/ChatGPT to figure out how to prepare for the interview

Track time, manage projects, and create invoices all in one app for freelancers.

I got tired of juggling 4 different tools to run my freelance business, so I built one that does it all. I'm a freelancer, and for a couple of years my business ran on duct tape: one app for time tracking, another for invoicing, a separate e-sign tool for contracts, and a spreadsheet to check if I was actually making money that month. So over the past few months I built Workey (React + TypeScript + Supabase) — one dashboard for the whole "get paid" loop: - Time trackin
