A visualization language designed for AI agents to create and interact with charts.
chenglong-hn · HN
Data visualizations are the bridge between user and data. But building AI agents that can generate visualizations reliably can be very tricky: - simple chart specs can be reliable, but generated charts are often of low quality due to reliance on system defaults; - complex chart specs with explicit details can produce good-looking charts, but they are verbose and agents can struggle with reliability We figured out it is a limitation on the language issue (not just AI capability thing) -- current visualization languages are a bit too low-level for AI agents, requiring them to explicitly make visual decisions that are supposed to be handled by a good compiler. Flint is a visualization intermediate language to address this issue, allow AI agents to solve this last-mile human-agent interaction problem. It provides a simple semantic-type based specification, and contains a layout optimization engine that can produce good-looking charts (filled with derived low-level details) from simple

Visualize AI coding-agent runs as interactive graphs from your transcript files.

rungraph - see what your coding agent actually did, as an interactive graph (open source) My coding agent kept doing 20 minutes of work I couldn't inspect afterward. The transcript exists (Claude Code and Codex CLI write everything to disk), but nobody reads 4,000 lines of JSON. So I built rungraph, open source and free (MIT). npx rungraph turns every session on your machine into a clickable graph: your prompts run down the spine, subagents get their own lanes, and it flags stuff like ret

Visual progress tracker that transforms AI coding plans into editable roadmaps.
u/Sapos_re · Reddit
I kept losing track of my roadmap while vibe coding, so I built a visual progress tracker When I started building apps with AI, writing the code no longer felt like the hardest part. The hardest part was understanding where I actually was in the project. After a few sessions, my roadmap would become increasingly difficult to follow. The agent would complete tasks, change files, and suggest new steps, but I would gradually lose sight of the bigger picture: What has actually been comple

OSS to SaaS positioning problem: when the user persona and the buyer persona are completely disjoint Founder here. Sharing a positioning problem I think a lot of OSS-to-SaaS founders hit and don't talk about publicly. Context: I have been running an OSS project (world-model-mcp) with ~2,500 monthly PyPI installs. Two weeks ago I opened up the hosted companion, Etch, at etch.systems. Launched publicly on Product Hunt at 12:00 PDT yesterday. The positioning problem: OSS user persona: in
