Laid off after 25 years in consulting, so I built the job-search tool I wished existed I got caught in the tech layoffs after 25 years in client-facing consulting, and the job hunt itself turned out to be the worst-designed workflow I'd ever seen. I turned an open-source Project into my first SaaS Like a lot of people job hunting, I was sending nearly the same resume to every posting and wondering why I wasn't hearing back. I found Resume-Matcher, an open-source project with 28k+ GitHub stars that rewrites your resume line-by-line to actually match a job post instead of just stuffing in keywords. Built an AI job matching tool + Chrome autofill extension — the "boring" bug that taught me the most this month I built Riseply after my own job search made me want to throw my laptop out a window.
