Convert messy supplier catalogs to Shopify-ready CSV files with AI.
u/captain_sauce_code · Reddit
I built a tool that turns messy supplier PDFs and spreadsheets into Shopify CSVs I'm a software developer in Australia, building this on the side around a full time job. The itch: dropshippers and small Shopify stores get product catalogs from suppliers as PDFs or ugly spreadsheets, then hand-retype them into Shopify's import CSV. While building I ran real supplier catalogs through it and the files were worse than you'd think. Split product titles, columns that drift halfway down the page,

I still don't like the fact that AI is adding more stuff for us to read, it's accelerating the code production but slowing down the code review. I built my own code reviewer as well ( https://pyor.review/ ), surfacing the important stuff first is the right track, but adding more stuff to read is daunting, but asking AI to just point you to what you need to focus on and skim the noise is what I'm leaning more towards.

Turn App Store and Google Play reviews into structured product insights with pain points and opportunities.

I made a product for analysing app reviews and get insights Hi folks! I recently made ParseMyApp , it takes any app and turns its reviews into something usable: top complaints with root causes, what users would riot if you removed, feature requests ranked by impact, and where competing apps could win based on analysed app weaknesses. Bonus: No account needed, free and runs entirely in your browser. How does it work: it pulls up to 500 reviews for iOS (Apple's API cap), and up to 1500

The honest reality: Building more SaaS features can do more harm than good Nine months ago, my SaaS was called WealthLearn . At the time we had built Market Research, Backtesting, AI Tools, TradingView Indicators, Portfolio Analysis, Broker Connections, Automation, Education, and even a separate Futures Application for MacOS/Windows. The problem was that every time I explained the company, I had to list all of those things. Our team understood how everything connected b

Pick five favorite albums to get music recommendations from listeners with similar taste.

I used AI to build a music recommender system that itself uses no AI in its operation. I have been promoting the system in communities that can sometimes be considerably anti-AI. But people usually assume that it is AI because, well, it's a recommender system. Anyways, after a 30-year break, I rebuilt it and got it working the way I always wanted! It basically uses the same 10 lines of code, (for which I was granted now-expired US patent #5749081), but with a good interface around it instead of
