AI movie recommendation app that explains its suggestions for group viewing.
u/amaldito · Reddit
I built an AI movie recommendation app solo, would love feedback :) Spent the last few months building Ellucca, a film recommendation platform that uses AI to actually explain why it's suggesting something instead of just spitting out a list. Built it entirely solo using Claude Code and the Claude API. Features: Personalized recommendations with visible reasoning A "match strength" score so you know how confident it is Group mode that combines multiple people's taste into shared pic

Browse and share links organized by tags, ranked by community engagement.

Hey HN, the maker here. I built Prijm.com because I wanted something like a cross between Reddit and the simplicity of Hacker News, where you can follow tags like #OpenAI or #AI [1] the way you'd follow a subreddit, but ranking is based on favorites/comments rather than a hidden algorithm Right now it has a very small user base and a few posts, so it's small and early. One thing I'm actually proud of is the threaded, markdown commenting system. I put a lot of work into it. Unfortunetly, there is

AI agents that discover activities and outings for families.
davmar · HN
Scout is the best tool for finding activities for your child. I built this to solve my personal pain point. Currently the best solutions are wordpress blogs where people manually aggregate this information. But human-run blogs can't possibly find every event, they don't know what my child's interests are or what's near my home, so my wife & I would spend hours just learning what we can do with our child. Scout is totally different. Our Agents intelligently crawl the web and find everything in a specific geographic region. We're staring with Seattle, where I live. Scout event has an "inclusivity" filter which lets you find events that are sensory friendly, ASL/assistive listening/captioning, LGBTQ+ & trans affirming, wheelchair accessible, etc. My favorite feature is the daily email with a curated list of events for you. This week I've gone to 2 events based on those emails alone. Please take a look and give me your feedback! demo: https://youtu.be/6wEVtp7-wV4 The link above is

Explore an interactive 3D museum of ideas about space, music, and discovery.

Many Beginnings - An Interactive Museum of Ideas https://manybeginnings.com I've been in awe of all of the three.js and generally all the 3D work I'm seeing getting built lately with the help of AI. I decided to join in on the fun to build a presentation of topics I love to learn about in an interactive and educational way. I made heavy use of three.js in the space exhibit, and more 2D animations and audio in the music exhibit. I normally do a lot of native mobile work but App Store rev
