Visualize and predict weather with on-device calculations and custom aggregation modes.
__mp · HN
I built my own weather prediction / visualization app: https://wx.rsp.li (on-device temperature lapsing, on device interpolation modes, user-selectable aggregations, etc…). One of these days I should do a writeup. I also asked Claude to build a photo gallery for me https://places.pascalspoerri.ch (HDR, map support, similar images)

Convert and compress images in multiple formats directly in your browser without uploading files.
@SamoreVaibhav · X
The online image converter experience: → upload → wait → download → "free limit reached, upgrade now" → open competitor site → upload the same files AGAIN → next week: which site was it? what size did I use?? I got tired of this loop. So I built Runs 100% in your browser — files never upload, so there's no limit to hit. Save your presets once, they're there forever. My first SaaS. Launching in public 😁

Drop or spit objects and measure the fall height using real physics simulation.
u/daboehla · Reddit
I built a web app that measures how high you can spit (or drop anything) using real physics Hey 👋 I made a silly web app called Spuckometer: you drop or spit something, tap to time the fall, and it calculates the height — using a real physics sim with air resistance, so a spit blob gives a different result than a stone. It's a PWA, vanilla JS, no framework, no sign-up. Built it mostly for fun (and to play with the drag physics). There's a mascot named Klaus whose eyes follow your cursor 👀
