Visual-HN – hcker.news with preview pictures Hello r/SideProjects community. I don't really know how to do this so I'll just say, I'm a hobbyist and I'm just messing around. So I've been messing around with a proxy + Chrome extension HN-clone site that injects preview images into the hcker.news feed and add a few visual tweaks like ranks and trend arrows, trying to make HN a little less text-only. The hard part was probably getting preview images for sites that aggressively block scrapers

Getting my intuition that I am among the smartest, most humble, highest quality commenters on here confirmed by an LLM so capable that the US government had to temporarily export restrict it [0] seemed only natural.
