Monitor AI API costs from OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI by connecting provider keys.

So my launch of – the simple, proxy-less AI model cost monitoring software – didn’t generate much response. I said I would build this in public, so here is an update. I am very happy with the app for my own use. It’s everything I want it to be. So even without users, I’m glad I built this just for myself. It’s probably not accurate to say I “launched” this. All I did was publish the app, make a single post on X, LinkedIn and Show HN. That’s not really any sort of distribution effort needed for an app. So I will continue to get the word out regarding Costbase on Reddit, and other places, as well as engaging with X users who have problem with AI cost. (If you guys have ideas, lmk) It’s just a small app, a side project, so I won’t put too much time marketing this before calling it quit. Pre-AI, I’ve always spent so much effort building an app that I don’t have any time left for marketing (I also run an ERP consultancy). Now, building is pretty much automated, so th

I built a free AI tool that watches a phone video of your house and tells you what to fix before you sell People prepping to sell either sink money into a full kitchen remodel that returns about half (NAR pegs it around 55% cost recovery) or skip the cheap fixes that actually pay. So I built HomeBrief . Film a 3-5 minute walkthrough on your phone, a vision model watches it, and you get a room by room fix list with cost ranges and estimated value added. Free calculators to help homebuyers understand their offer before submitting.
u/Offer-Buildr · Reddit
I built a free suite of home offer calculators because I felt that most mortgage calculators answer the wrong question I started and run a small free tool called "Offer Buildr" that helps homebuyers understand an offer before their agent writes it. The core builder turns a listing price into true monthly cost and cash to close, then walks the ten decisions in an offer and prints a one page summary to hand your agent. Last week I shipped the piece I wish I had started with: five single-ques

Check if your trip fits your budget using live flight and hotel pricing data.

Verdict-first travel tool — monetizing via affiliate links that only appear AFTER you've decided. Does this model hold? TripVerdict gives an honest "does this trip fit your budget" verdict from live flight/stay data. The wedge: every competitor (OTAs, AI planners) monetizes bookings, so their incentive is to make every trip look bookable. Mine shows booking links only post-decision, clearly disclosed — the bet is that independence is the moat and the trust earns the click. Early signal:

Buy and sell small internet businesses with verified revenue, verified traffic, and every deal held in escrow. No listing fees. Free for buyers.
