Reading the week
This week's directory grew from 5,734 to 6,668 published entries — 936 new adds against last week's 933, for a net gain of 934 (+16.3%). New-submission pace held essentially flat week over week even as the base kept compounding.
Every tracked stack lost share: Cloudflare fell from 34.3% to 29.6% (-4.7pts), Next.js from 30.4% to 26.3% (-4.1pts), Vercel from 26.7% to 23.0% (-3.7pts), and Google Analytics from 21.3% to 18.3% (-3.0pts); Radix UI and Lovable slipped smaller amounts, -0.6 and -0.5pts. But raw counts tell a calmer story — Cloudflare sites rose by only about 6 (roughly 1,967→1,973), Next.js by about 8, and Vercel barely moved (roughly 1,531→1,531). With 934 net new entries added and only roughly 21 of them landing across these six stacks combined, the point drops are almost entirely a mix effect from a fast-growing, differently composed cohort — not existing sites dropping these tools.
Traffic sources barely shifted: X ticked up 69.6%→70.6% (+1.0pt) and stayed dominant, while the Chinese list dipped 7.5%→6.5% (-1.0pt); Reddit, Hacker News, Product Hunt, V2EX, direct, and GitHub all held within 0.1pt of last week. On survival, 3 sites were buried this week and 38 are flagged at-risk — small counts against a 6,668-entry base, worth watching rather than reacting to.
