Reading the week
The directory grew from 3,991 to 4,802 published apps this week (+811, +20.3%), though the pace of new additions eased slightly: 832 new apps versus 872 the prior week (-40, -4.6%).
Every one of the six tracked stacks lost share this week, but the drops read as dilution, not defection. Cloudflare fell from 48.2% to 40.8% (-7.4pp), Next.js from 43.1% to 36.2% (-6.9pp), Vercel from 37.8% to 31.7% (-6.1pp), Google Analytics from 30.2% to 25.3% (-4.9pp), Radix UI from 6.9% to 5.8% (-1.1pp), and Lovable from 5.7% to 4.8% (-0.9pp). Their raw counts still grew - Cloudflare's usage rose from roughly 1,924 to 1,960 - just far slower than the 20% growth in the total pool, meaning most of this week's 832 new apps simply weren't built on these stacks. With a sample growing this fast, share swings like these are mostly a story about who joined, not who left.
Traffic sources held mostly steady. X stayed the dominant channel, ticking up from 67.7% to 68.8% (+1.1pp). The Chinese list saw the largest move, down from 10.3% to 8.8% (-1.5pp); Hacker News, Reddit, Product Hunt, V2EX, direct, and GitHub each shifted by half a point or less. On survival, 10 apps were buried this week and 22 sit at risk - modest churn against a base approaching 4,800.
