It came out of a problem on my own app. Good impressions in a bunch of countries, bad conversion. Turns out one screenshot set was going to every storefront and dying in most of them. I wanted Pocket, but with an API. So I built it. As a developer, I used Pocket to keep track of interesting programming-related articles I'd come across. It's the way I kept myself up to date. If I saw something new I wanted to learn, I'd save it for later when I had to devote to reading.
