hello HN, let me tell you why i built boilerroom ( https://boilerroom.ai ). throughout my past endeavours in sales, the one thing that thoroughly pissed me off was living in a million places to execute one thing; the outbound motion this includes everything top of funnel like finding leads (be it inbound or outbound), researching, filtering for qualification criteria, throwing them in a sequence, engaging them via dialer, email, and linkedin, gathering context, all the way through bottom of funnel like discovery calls, demo calls, and post-sales activities what absolutely does not exist (or if it does, a piss-poor model) is a place to simply execute this work in one place why tf do i have to be on clay, or apollo, clicking around looking for leads, researching them around myself, put them in to some other garbage software to sequence to tell me when to make a call or send out automated emails, only to get a massive backlog of things I was supposed to do, which in turn makes my whol

Hi HN, The one thing AI reliably does is generate noise. Half the tools I see launch are just machines for producing more noise across more channels. And people are starting to see this in the form of emails in their inboxes as spam filters are struggling. There used to be a useful signal in email: the effort a sender put into customizing a message was a rough proxy for how relevant it actually was. AI killed that. Now it's customized slop with the appearance of effort with none of the cost. It is painful that the open internet / open channels have been abused like this. Captchainbox applies the idea of proof-of-work to email. If a sender is willing to do a bit of work to reach you, the message is more likely to be worth your time and the sender more likely to be real. The work is a traditional captcha. I made a strategy game where you play the US or China through the AI race, 2026 to 2030, sixteen quarterly turns in the browser. One run takes about half an hour. At the start, the game seals two dice you never get to see. Inside: how hard alignment really is, and how fast takeoff compounds. You get eval reports, but only as ranges, and they flatter you most exactly when your systems are least aligned. At the end you get a debrief which shows what your evals said each quarter and also what was actually true. I lost every run I played myself so far. Every number in the game is source-backed or a labeled design choice. Some of them are wrong somewhere. There is an issue template for challenging a number with a better source, and the better source wins. No accounts, no tracking, no server, works offline after first load. AGPL, nonprofit. This video shows a fully animated 3D site built in 2 minutes with claude code. one terminal command. but the prompt was almost irrelevant. the real work was the pre-load: ui/ux pro max skill, a hero component from framer motion stacked in before claude touched anything the toolkit did the job. the prompt just pulled the trigger. that's also why most people's claude output looks generic. they skip the setup and blame the model.
