Built a small tool to see how native speakers actually use words across different media (movies, podcasts, etc.) I used to use YouGlish a lot while studying, but it always felt pretty basic—you watch a clip, and that's it. I wanted a way to filter clips by specific media (movies, TV shows, podcasts), get translations, and actually ask an AI why someone used a word in that specific context when textbook definitions fell short. I built a full A1 to C1 Croatian course because none of the big language apps teach it I started building Govoriti because I wanted a proper way to learn Croatian and kept running into the same problem: the big apps just do not teach it. Duolingo, Babbel, Rosetta Stone, Busuu, all skip Croatian. There are a few smaller options, but most either stop fairly early or feel more like content libraries than actual courses. I wanted something structured, closer to a real class, but self-paced. S
